Washing machine won't drain

Steps

1. Unplug the washer and turn off its water supply.
2. Open the small hatch at the bottom front, put a shallow tray and towels down, and drain through the little hose before touching the filter.
3. Unscrew the pump filter and pull out coins, hair and lint; rinse it under a tap.
4. Straighten the drain hose behind the machine and check it isn't pushed too far down the standpipe.
5. Refit the filter hand-tight, plug in, and run a short rinse-and-spin to confirm.
